Nice shot! Look at his legs! They look like she has Pantaloons on! Nice Cooper's Hawk? I always hate when they are eating at my bird feeder. But, they have a hard time in life too! Great shot, and story to go with it.. FV.. thanks for your visit and votes to my place too! FV

Linda Segerson replied:

Thanks Angela.....I could not believe how fast it grew from a baby. I really enjoyed watching it and its twin from babies in their nest to present....they are now about 3 1/2 months old. They are awesome to watch!

Artist's Description

I took this image about 2 weeks ago of this beautiful young hawk. I discovered the mama and her 2 babies about the middle of April in their nest about 40 feet up in the top of an old Pine tree on our property. I have been stopping to take photos just about everyday...some days are luckier than others. When I first discovered the babies they were solid white and looked like little fuzz balls. It has been so amazing to watch them grow and change over the past 2 months. The mama and both babies are still hanging around and I still get some pretty good shots of them....some days they put on a good show for me flying from tree to tree making their usual noise trying to spook me ....they are such an amazing bird to watch!
