I saw him as I walked passed a window....there he was perched as he was king of all birds! His beauty glistened with the sun on his face as he waited for his mate. Male Cardinals are so exquisite with their deep red color that stands out among all other backyard birds. They mate with the same female cardinal for life and generally stay in the same area year after year. Male cardinals can be very aggressive to other male cardinals when defending their territory. Many people believe the sighting of a cardinal can be a sign of good luck!
