The Neil House by Linda Segerson, I took this photo while I was at the Old Country Store here in Jackson TN.....The Neil House was built in 1837 is one of Tennessee's oldest homes. It has been an important part of Tennessee history and played a role in the Battle of Trenton during the Civil War when citizens gathered on its roof to watch the battle unfold. It later became the home of Judge M.M. Neil, who served as chief justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
The Shaw family and their company, Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store, have a passion for preserving history and they restored this Tennessee treasure to its original Antebellum period look. The antebellum plantation house is built in classical Federal style with two large porches, 14-foot ceilings, 15-inch baseboards and door frames of heart pine and 12 foot windows.
Due to the height of more than 33 feet, the home was divided into two sections and was moved to Casey Jones Village. It was then reassembled and restored...

She gets enjoyment and satisfaction capturing the beauty that God provides in nature. Whether it's an insect crawling on moss, a fox trotting thru the woods or a doe with her babies, she has her camera ready for spontaneous moments in the wild. She is also very intrigued with landscape photography, always excited to shoot a time-worn barn or a rust-covered relic. Her camera is a daily part of her life....it goes everywhere with her for that special moment to capture another beautiful image.
