Artist's Description

I believe this is a Black Swallowtail Butterfly and we have had a lot of them this year. They have been a challenge to photograph in a still position, they are constantly fluttering around from flower to flower feeding. Most Black Swallowtails live only 10-12 days but there are some that live 35 to 40 days.

About Linda Segerson

Linda Segerson

The Art of Photography...capturing a piece of life and beauty that will provide us a lifetime of enjoyment. Linda Segerson is a self taught photography artist. She gets enjoyment and satisfaction capturing the beauty that God provides in nature. Whether it's an insect crawling on moss, a fox trotting thru the woods or a doe with her babies, she has her camera ready for spontaneous moments in the wild. She is also very intrigued with landscape photography, always excited to shoot a time-worn barn or a rust-covered relic. Her camera is a daily part of her life....it goes everywhere with her for that special moment to capture another beautiful image. Recently moving to Benton County she is eager to explore and capture all the beauty...
